The Lost MuseumOne of the ways to increase awareness of Polish wartime losses has been cooperation with the Association of Marketing Communication SAR and the SAR Art Foundation Ad Artis, since 2010, on the Lost Museum project. As part of the project, there is a multimedia show, which is presented in public space during Museum Night. Alongside this there is also a website, www.muzeumutracone.pl, where, apart from various films, there are photographs of the most precious lost works of art. Every year, a new dominant theme for the show is chosen and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage supervises the methodological and content aspect. |

Its aim is to recover those works of art lost by Poland during the Second World War and which are impossible to recover through legal action and all other methods of bringing them back to Poland have been exhausted. It will be possible to pass the recovered works of art to national institutions (museums and galleries, etc), to their original owners or their legal heir and, if there is no such person, to institutions recommended by the Ministry. |
